The Competition

The 2026 National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC) challenged students to develop an integrated advertising campaign for the NFL. Through my ART 440 Game Day Design & Sports Advertising course, I integrated this national competition into the curriculum, providing students with an authentic, agency-style learning experience. In collaboration with Chris Smith’s ART 436 Advertising Design course, I guided students through research, strategic concept development, creative exploration, iterative critique, and campaign refinement, connecting classroom instruction with professional advertising practices. This cross-course collaboration emphasized experiential learning, teamwork, critical thinking, and the application of design skills to a real-world client challenge.
